TATUAJE FAUSTO @TatuajeCigars

If you read Hopmuta Triangle you know I had what I can only guess was a close encounter with the devil himself!  In hindsight I remember purchasing a cigar that day and it was the Fausto by Tatuaje.  If you’ve ever saw an ad for the Fausto then you know there is a very peculiar looking devil in the ad who looks not unlike a renaissance version of John Lovett’s devil on SNL!  It caught my eye, but what caught my eye and later my palate is how awesome the Fuasto looks/ is!

Country: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Maduro
Strength: Mild
Length: 5.5
Ring Gauge: 52

The latest from Tatuaje, introducing Fausto (meaning splendor), a daring new blend from Tatuaje.  Heed my warning; the Fausto is not intended for the faint.  Greeting you from the outside is an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro that shines with ample oils.  Beneath this dark leaf, a hearty combination of Nicaraguan long-fillers and Nicaraguan binder awaits.  Upon taking flame to foot, notes of pepper, earth and leather rush to the palate.  As the burn progresses, expect additional noted of oak, espresso, and rich tobacco as a slightly peppery flavor enters the fray.  A smooth, dark, and powerful cigar, the Fausto makes the perfect accompaniment to a large meal!

I tried this little devil a few weeks back at the Ginger Ninja’s compound.  As the press release says above this cigar makes a perfect accompaniment to a large meal which is just what the Ginger Ninja made for us.  He took the time to carefully craft his signature artesian pizza and pretzels to enjoy, and enjoy them we did and afterwards I enjoyed the Fausto!
The Cigar is a Spice Stick through and through!  Right off the bat I was hit with a smooth and flavorful pepper.  As I delved deeper into the smoke I got strong earthy-woody notes with pepper hints perfectly spaced out.  Midway to the end I got what I can only describe as buttery-coffee with a strong leather taste!  Odd I know.  This was a great cigar.  If I had to describe it I’d say it is a spicy desert cigar!  It’s the best cigar I’ve had from Tatuaje so far and I still have my “Little Monsters” to try as well!  This is fast becoming a favorite brand for me and I plan on getting a 5 pack of the Fausto to take up residence in the Ark!

Cheers!
